DAY 1 ARRIVE IN KETCHIKAN* AND SET SAIL

DAY 2 MISTY FIORDS NATIONAL MONUMENT AND METLAKATLA
Visit magical Misty Fiords National Monument boasting steep cliffs, narrow waterways and awe-inspiring stillness. Make a port call at Metlakatla on Annette Island, Alaska's sole Tsimshian community. BLD

DAY 3 PETERSBURG
Enjoy a warm welcome at the village of Petersburg, a true Alaska fishing town. Watch as the Leikarring Dancers perform in the Sons of Norway Hall. Explore the mysterious Thomas Bay and the wilderness waterways around Petersburg. BLD

DAY 4 FREDERICK SOUND AND TRACY ARM

Humpback whales abound in Frederick Sound. Cruise under Tracy Arm's sheer 1,500-foot vertical cliffs toward the twin Sawyer Glaciers. BLD

DAY 5 SITKA
Only small ships can negotiate Peril Strait and Sergius Narrows, the "inside" route to Sitka on Baranof Island. A walk through Sitka's National Historic Park reveals towering totems keeping watch over the temperate rainforest. Keep an eye out for playful otters, Sitka black-tailed deer and bald eagles. BLD

DAY 6 GLACIER BAY NATIONAL PARK AND PRESERVE CRUISING
First established as a National Monument by presidential proclamation in 1925, Glacier Bay has since enjoyed the honored and highly protected status of National Park, Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site. Glide past "rivers of ice" in this glacial wonderland. A National Park Service Ranger and a Native Cultural Interpreter will be onboard helping you spot the abundant wildlife such as mountain goats, harbor seals and brown and black bears. BLD

DAY 7 SKAGWAY AND HAINES

Relive the Gold Rush in the picture-perfect setting of Skagway, the starting place for many early gold seekers. Just down mountain-lined Lynn Canal, visit Haines, famed for attracting artists and for its bald eagle population. BLD

DAY 8 ARRIVE IN JUNEAU

Spend the day exploring Alaska's capital city, inaccessible by road. Overnight at the Goldbelt Hotel near the waterfront. If you are not continuing on to Denali, your Cruise West adventure will end tomorrow in Juneau. B

DAY 9 FLY TO ANCHORAGE
Transfer to the Juneau Airport for your included flight to Anchorage and transfer to the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel. Enjoy an Anchorage city orientation and time to explore the Anchorage Museum. Dinner will be enjoyed at the Sheraton Hotel or at your choice of other
fine restaurants. D

DAY 10 ANCHORAGE TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK VIA MOTORCOACH AND RAIL
Travel by motorcoach to Talkeetna, where you will board a deluxe domed railcar for your journey to Denali National Park. Cross the high trestle at Hurricane Gulch, and ascend via Broad Pass into the Alaska Range. The domed cars allow spectacular views on both sides of the train, including (when weather permits) sweeping views of snowcapped peaks and Mt. McKinley. Also known as "Denali, the Great One," the highest mountain in North America soars to 20,320 feet. Lunch is available for purchase aboard the train. On arrival enjoy an exclusive presentation by a naturalist from the Denali Education Center and overnight at a comfortable Denali hotel. BD

DAY 11 DENALI EXPLORATION
An expert guide takes you on your chosen bus tour* into Denali National Park to look for wildlife andexperience summer in the subalpine tundra. Following yourpark tour, you have time to enjoy the park on your own or venture out on any of the optional rafting, flightseeing or other adventure excursions we can arrange for you. B

DAY 12 DENALI NATIONAL PARK TO FAIRBANKS

Travel north to Fairbanks by comfortable motorcoach. You will have a delightful day of sightseeing, including a visit to the new University of Alaska Museum of the North and a ride down the Chena River on an authentic sternwheeler riverboat. Riverboats have been one of the most popular means of transportation in the north for over a century. Overnight at your comfortable Fairbanks hotel. BLD

DAY 13 FAIRBANKS
Transfertothe Fairbanks Airport for your flight home.
