MEXICO AND THE MAGNIFICENT SEA OF CORTEZ

Twenty million years ago, the San Andreas Fault fractured, sending an BOO-mile-long mountain range into the ocean and forming the Sea of Cortes. Today, this young sea, fed by strong tides and nutrient-rich currents, harbors the most abundant concentration of marine life on earth.

Pods of dolphins leap in foamy bow waves. Gray whales rise to gaze a soulful eye at awe-struck visitors. Playful sea lions blow bubbles in the face of snorkelers, and angelfish and sea horses hang suspended in turquoise bays.

Join us as we explore a land and sea brimming with life. A place where aquamarine waters are impossibly clear and where the sun shines nearly every day ... where soft beaches and exotic cacti rim a coastline that bears no trace of civilization for as far as the eye can see ... where frigate birds, pelicans and ospreys circle overhead ... and where idyllic towns still echo with the mission bells of a bygone era.
